Ashley Skelton

Ashley is the Practice Manager at Waleska Animal Hospital. She has been with the company since 2003, when she entered the veterinary business as a receptionist. Her desire to care for animals drove her to pursue further hands-on education as a veterinary assistant. Her hard work and dedication over the years help to grow this hospital from its very beginnings. During her off- time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 4-legged babies: Girl – a rescued pit-bull, Merle – a rescued Catahoula Cattle dog, Guns, Whiskey and Reinhardt- are all rescued domestic short haired kitties.


Amanda Belote

Nursing

Amanda Belote joined our team here at Waleska Animal Hospital in December of 2017 as a veterinary assistant. She has previously worked as an adoption manager for a rescue as well as a kennel technician. Amanda has always loved helping animals and feels very fortunate she has been able to make a career of doing what she loves. When she is not helping take care of the wonderful patients here at Waleska, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two rescue dogs, Happy and Sonny, as wellas spending time with family.


     Mr. Miyagi

Senior Client Greeter, Amateur Birdwatcher, Wild deck lizard observer, Professional Napper

Mr. Miyagi has been a key part of the team at Waleska Animal Hospital since 2016. His unparalleled skill-set and quick intellect has made him a jack of all trades within the company; holding more titles then any other team member. When not busy with one of his many duties, Mr. Miyagi enjoys sunbathing, full body hair rolling, staring intently, and Olympic freestyle laser-point chasing.


Victoria Logan

Nursing

 Victoria Logan started as a kennel  technician at a practice in Texas while  pursuing a B.S. in Biology at the University of North Texas. Since then, she has been a kennel technician, a receptionist and a veterinary technician. After taking a break to homeschool her two children, she joined our team here at Waleska Animal Hospital in May of 2018. Along with her two children, she has two cats named Mo Joe and Toby which were both rescued. In her time off, she enjoys may outdoor activities with her husband and kids, including hiking, camping, kayaking and mud run/obstacle course races.


Cassie Williams

Cassie began her career with Waleska Animal Hospital in May 2021. She joined our team as a tech assistant and is quickly training as a veterinary technician. Cassie has recently finished her business degree at Reinhardt University. She eventually plans on going back to school to continue her knowledge in the veterinary field. In her free time, Cassie enjoys fishing, camping, and spending time with her family.

Julie Williams

Julie became part of the Waleska Animal Hospital team on August 3, 2021. She is currently working as a receptionist.She has been in the veterinary industry now for 7 years.A Georgia native & residing in Dahlonega, Julie grew up on a horse farm and has always had a passion and huge heart for animals. She has 6 dogs, 1 cat, 2 geckos, & 9 chickens.She enjoys spending her time with her four-legged & two-legged family. Her hobbies include hunting, fishing, cooking & baking, and spending time outdoors.

Clarcy Kirby

Clarcy joined our team in June 2020 as a receptionist. She previously worked as a veterinary technician. After sustaining an injury to her knees while working on the floor she came off the floor to work the front end. Because of her 4-H/FFA career, love of and experience for animals, and love for people she excels as a front-end employee.When Clarcy is not working for Waleska Animal Hospital you can find her with her husband Mark on the 350-acre farm that they lease. They currently raise fresh beef, pork, and meat goats. She also helps her daughter with the goat dairy. Clarcy also has guardian dogs Jed, Scout, and Gus.Clarcy loves spending time with her family and “pet” dogs Gator &Tilli.

Eleanor

Eleanor was born and raised in Atlanta. After graduating from the University of Georgia, and living in Colorado and Texas, she moved to Lake Arrowhead in 1988. Eleanor raised her family here and started working, part-time at Waleska Animal Care in 2011. She has enjoyed being a part of its growth from a small clinic to the full service Waleska Animal Hospital it is now. In her free time, she enjoys various activities, and being with her children, grandchildren, family, and friends, including her two dogs-Tut and Maggie.
